Uno Kanda holds 5th wedding ceremony in Bali

“Talent” Uno Kanda and her husband Takuro Nishimura held their 5th wedding ceremony at Bali over the New Year, she says on her blog. Pictures of the ceremony on her blog revealed she wore a native dress, and others showed her posing with local children.

Uno, 33, and Nishimura, 39, held their first wedding ceremony at Meiji Shrine in October 2007, then held another one in Guam in May of 2008 because they “hadn’t been married in a chapel.” They later declared their interest in wedding ceremonies and went on to have another one in Hawaii in July, and one more in Saipan in October to celebrate their first anniversary.

Garden tool marries wealthy business man only two more wedding ceremonies from a divorce. I can remember back in the mid 90s when she was part of a Japanese talk show being shot in Hawaii live, when she got clocked in the eye by an older lady on the show for not letting any else get two words in on the show. Made my day!

I wonder if the guests are expected to cough up the obligatory hefty envelope of congratulatory cash at each ceremony? If so I would hate to be a friend or relative of the Kanda-Nishimuras.

Uno Kanda = a Japanese Marie Antoinette for the 21st Century. Her fade into C-list obscurity is the equivalent of the guillotine.

The guy who married her looks dafter by the minute
