I still cannot understand why everyone (especially the Japanese) love John Lennon

    Densha,

'Cause he married a Japanese and was photographed in a kimono once or twice. (Of course the 'Japanese' is actually an American, but hey, once a Japanese....)

'cos he co-wrote songs for and was a member of arguably the most influential band of all time and at the height of their fame he married a lass from Tokyo. Not really that confusing when you stop and think about it regardless of your take on The Beatles or his solo stuff.

Isn't the headline misleading? It says they were auctioned but doesn't that imply they were sold? Perhaps 'offered at auction' would be better?

I had a photo of him and Yoko in a black sleeping bag sorta thing hanging from the wall when I was in highschool. Lennon was a pretty cool guy and Yoko is certainly talented in her own right. She has gotten dumped on for breaking up the Beatles for nearly 40 years so really she got the worst of the deal.

If you haven't gotten it now, you never will.

My only beef with Yoko was her not keeping the faith with John when she refused to help Paul buy the eintire beatles publishing rights when Northern Songs offered them up for sale. Michael Jackson bought them ( now Sony owns them) and as such we've seen Beatle songs in Commercials.

I imagine ( hee! ) those photos would be better off remaining unseen.
