Van Halen with David Lee Roth to tour Japan in November
Hard rock group Van Halen will tour Japan in November for the first time in 14 years. It will also be 33 years since the band toured Japan with lead vocalist David Lee Roth.
This year, Van Halen started its “A Different Kind of Truth Tour” (the title of their album released in February) in the U.S. but in early June, canceled 32 tour dates for the rest for the summer.
In an interview with USA Today, Eddie Van Halen said, “The band will have completed more than 40 shows on this leg, and a lot of the canceled dates were in cities we already played. So in November we’ll hit Japan, and in the new year, we’ll possibly do something special, but I can’t talk about it.”
The scheduled dates are Nov 20 at the Osaka Chuo Gymnasium and Nov 27 at Tokyo Dome.
Tickets go on sale to Universal Music Metal Club members first, from June 27, and then to the general public from July 7. Tickets cost 12,500 yen, 11,000 yen and 9,000 yen.
