X Japan to rock out movie theaters on New Year’s Eve

TOKYO —
Rock group X Japan will broadcast their New Year’s Eve concert in Akasaka live to 13 movie theaters nationwide. The concerts will be relayed live from 10.30 p.m. at Toho-affiliated theaters, including the one in Roppongi Hills, and is expected to attract more than 10,000 people.
About 150,000 people went to see X Japan’s comeback tour at Tokyo Dome, held for three nights in March this year. But the seating capacity at the Akasaka Blitz livehouse is just one hundredth of that total, and so tickets are at a premium. The show will kick off a worldwide tour for next year which will include Paris, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan, and Korea.
The concert will also be shown live on satellite channels Fuji TV 721 and Fuji TV CSHD, and at DMM.com on the Internet.
Tickets for both the concert in Akasaka and movie theater seats at various locations around the country went on sale Saturday on Yoshiki’s mobile website. For further details, visit www.xjapan.ne.jp

I'm amazed at the resugence of this band. I mean, I somewhat was amused by them in the past, but were they really that good?

Very expensive tickets and you may not even see Yoshiki if he cancels at the last minute again.
