X Japan's TOSHI launches new band

TOKYO —

Rock band X Japan vocalist TOSHI, 42, has launched a new music group, “TOSHI with T-Earth.” The new members and guitarists are Toya and Jun, with whom TOSHI has collaborated before. He announced the new band will tour six cities nationwide from Aug 12 to Sept 4.

TOSHI said, “The new group is an ‘eco hard-rock’ band which values nature and children. I have been working on this group at the same time as X Japan.” He said he is currently looking for a female vocalist for duets.

Asked about the canceled world tour of X Japan because of YOSHIKI’s illness, he answered: “That’s not a big deal. We have often canceled tours for many reasons so far.”

I wonder how its lyrics are like. I have never heard of any rock band here whose songs are about ecology and stuff like that.

The world tour isn't canceled. It's just postponed until Yoshiki gets better.

eco hard rock.. so, no new guitars, no instruments with exotic wood tops, solar powered amps? do solied state amps use less current than a Marshall Stack with a quartet of EL34's? costumes made of renewable fibers like bamboo & hemp?

Eco rock means you have to use an esquire & make due with one less pup & switch to an amp, a fender that runs on 6v6`s to bring the wattage down & give you a nice eco vintage sound, then you have eco rock, ha ha
