YOSHIKI figure joins other celebs in Madame Tussauds Tokyo

Rock band X Japan frontman YOSHIKI is the latest celebrity to have a waxwork figure on display at Madame Tussauds Tokyo in Odaiba. "It's scary, it seems to be moving right now," YOSHIKI said of his image.

Madame Tussauds took YOSHIKI's body measurements while he was on tour with X Japan in France and England. The band has just returned from Bangkok, the last stop on their Asian tour.

YOSHIKI's figure joins 20 other celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga in a see-through body suit, Johnny Depp and AKB48 member Yuko Oshima. The exhibit is open until Jan 4, 2012.

Would I get into trouble if I wrote his name as yoshiki or Yoshiki? or even ヨシキ (I guess katakana is only for foreingers).

A fine tribute to one of the best rock drummers ever

they both look waxy to me. maybe they made hot music, at least they made quite a spectacle of themselves. btw, i gave everybody thumbs up, our PsychoPathDowner is on the move again

It was the vocalist of X-Japan, Hide, who kicked the bucket. But the drummer Yoshiki was the founder, song writer and driving force. His thighs are not quite as thin as his waz model but nearly. I never had thighs that thin, since I was 8 years old anyway. It seems to me that Yoshiki is heterosexual but is very in touch with this girls side.

1) hide was the lead guitarist of X JAPAN, not the vocalist. 2) The wax figures are frighteningly realistic, though I wonder why they chose to have the figure without sunglasses...?

Amazing realism! How's his voice?
