Yuki Amami’s the boss in upcoming Fuji crime drama

Actress Yuki Amami, 41, and actor Yutaka Takenouchi, 38, will star in the upcoming Fuji TV drama “BOSS.” Amami plays the leader of a rag-tag unit of eccentric detectives. “My mom is my boss in real life. I’m like a butler these days,” she said.
Takenouchi, who plays an elite maverick type of detective, said: “I’ve played a detective before, and it’s been very serious and I’d furrow my brow. This drama has some lighter moments, so I’m trying not to look so serious all the time.”
Junpei Mizobata, 19, who plays a young detective also under Amami’s charge, was asked about his ideal boss, and he said that Amami would be good. But Amami’s smile dropped just a few moments later when he said: “I’m the only in the drama under 20, so I hope to inject a bit of youth that Yuki or Yutaka can’t provide.”
“BOSS” will air on Thursdays at 10 p.m. from April 16.

She was pretty good in Rikon Bengoshi.

Wow, she can "furrow her brow". That makes her about ten times as skilled as the average J-actress.

herefornow - Takenouchi is the one who furrows his brow, not Amami.

Just a year and a half ago, I was led to believe that a glowering Tommy Lee Jones was "BOSS".
