Yukie Nakama crashes her car into pole in Tokyo

TOKYO —

Actress Yukie Nakama, 28, crashed her car into a pole after driving the wrong way along a one-way street in Shibuya on Sunday, police said Tuesday. She is not injured, they said.

According to police, the accident occurred around 6 p.m. The car hit a steel pole between the street and a house. Police said the actress won’t be charged with reckless driving.

Nakama released a statement through her agent, saying: “I am really sorry for causing trouble. I swerved to the left to avoid a car coming toward me and hit the pole. I will pay for any damages to the house.”

Hey at least she's taking responsibility and offering to apy for damages. That's a million fold more than what celebrities in other countries do when they cause accidents and kill people, they have no shame and expect to face no punishment.

Once again rjd your are claiming stuff is true without any of your own facts to back them up. There have been several cases of Japanese celebrities running off from accidents and trying to evade their responsibilities (e.g. didn't one of the Smap guys do that?). You only take one incident and so believe that is true in all cases.
