Yukina Kinoshita, left, and Gal Sone
Thursday 23rd April, 03:00 AM JST
TOKYO —
Singer-model Yukina Kinoshita, 21, and speed eater Gal Sone, 23, attended a promotional event this week for the DVD release of animated film “Wall-E” on the steps outside Fuji TV’s head office in Odaiba. The girls, who are good friends and share the same birthday, wore dresses of the same design and held hands during the event.
“Wall-E” tells the story of a robot who finds himself on an uninhabited waste-covered Earth, set some 700 years in the future. Another robot named EVE comes to Earth to examine if life here is once again possible, and Wall-E ends up following her back into space.
Kinoshita was asked who she would like to meet if she found herself on an unoccupied planet, and she said: “A dinosaur!” Gal Sone looked a bit disappointed and said: “I was gonna say Yukina.”
The DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of the film went on sale in Japan Wednesday.

That is NEVER the reason for delay on major movies like this... the scripts are sent over here before the movie has even been finished
The reason is that movie companies like to juggle things around to try and make the most money by releasing at the best possible times - even if that is several months behind. The DVD schedules follow the same path

I thought it was because the Japanese distributors want to see which movies make the most money abroad, so they know which ones to show in cinemas/market a release for in Japan.
Once again, tarento + product = entertainment

I think someone needs to look up the meaning of the word "unoccupied".

a bimbo who is famous for stuffing her face and a bimbo who is famous for ...? the entertainment industry in japan is the pinnacle of mediocrity and a quagmire of inanity

These people that stuff their faces should be banned from the tube. It is disgusting.

Speed eater? Is that a new talent in Japan? I could say something really crude at this point but I'm sure the moderators are just waiting for those obvious remarks!
Wall-e is a great film and I'm sure it'll do well in Japan (my kids have been enjoying it on the USA Blu-ray release for months now!)

Gal Sone is gross...and it is wierd that Japanese seem to enjoy watching her flout all traditional Japanese conventions towards the enjoyment and respect of food.Hardly entertainment.

I'm surprised Gal Sone has lasted this long, then I remembered the insatiable appetite for boring as hell food programmes here. Shes probably got a job for life given this.
