TOKYO —
Model and celebrity Yukina Kinoshita, 21, has released a new book based on her award-winning cell phone novel “Atashi Kanojo.” Kinoshita attended an event at the Spiral Building in Aoyama for the promotion.
The novel is a narrative which is easily read on a cell phone, and is written in short sentences, often consisting of just one word. Critics have denounced the work which went on to win several awards last year, including one which carried a two million yen cash prize.
Kinoshita read parts of her novel out loud to those in attendance, and elaborated on her own love life after reading the part where the boyfriend of Kiki, the female narrator, calls out another girl’s name in his sleep. “This actually happened to me, and I hit him. I wanted to strangle him,” she said.
Kinoshita told the girls in the crowd that love equals growth, and to go out and experience love to its fullest. But when asked how her Valentine’s Day was, she lamented: “It was a bit lonely. I shared a chocolate fondue with my dog.”

Her particular book may not be memorable, but it's a certainly seminal in being an early popular example of a new literary form. For that alone she deserves some credit and a footnote in history.
I hope someone told her chocolate is poison for dogs though.

Hey, when the telegraph was invented did anyone write a "telegraph book"? Because that would also have been "novel" (pun not really intended).
I'm thinking of releasing my first book in morse code.

“It was a bit lonely. I shared a chocolate fondue with my dog.”
That's what happens when you physically attack your boyfriend in his sleep.
And yes, chocolate is not good for dogs, but alcohol isn't good for humans, so I still feed chocolate to dogs, but not too much. It makes their lives happier.
