Ultra Japan 2015

July 13, 2015 - July 20, 2015

If you’ve been waiting for one dance music event to attend in Tokyo, this is it: Ultra Japan 2015. Last year’s festival saw 42,000 music lovers descend on Odaiba for two days of nonstop performances from some of the world’s most iconic DJs—including Kaskade, Mark Knight, Fredde Le Grand, Umek, Hardwell and Axwell—making it the largest electronica event in Japan.

A video released after the event, Ultra Japan 2014 After Movie, chronicled the music lovers, trendsetters, tastemakers and fashionistas in attendance as well as cultural touchstones of Japan such as Mt. Fuji, ancient shrines, the fashion Mecca of Harajuku and Shibuya’s Scramble Crossing. The video garnered over 400,000 views upon its release and further thrusting the festival into the Japanese dance music spotlight.

Following on that success, Ultra Japan 2015 has upped the ante by confirming  bona fide superstars Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Nicky Romero and Skrillex as its phase one lineup. Advance tickets went on sale after announcing the headliners—and sold out in one day.

This year, the dance music festival that forever changed Japan’s music landscape is set to happen over three days September 19 – 21 at the same venue, Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park in the center of Tokyo Bay close to the Rainbow Bridge. To keep up-to-date with festival lineup additions, news, videos and ticket sales, visit and bookmark the Ultra Japan website.

Was really good event last year, was well worth going to and seeing even if you dont like the music, the drinks were all capped at 600 yen so everyone really had a good time :)

Overhyped event with overpaid edm "djs" and that at 13000 yen a ticket. But to each his own.

papigiulio: you're no fun :) I thought it 10 times better than any fuji rock or other Japanese summer event for the production alone. But like you said, each to their own, I had fun at the last one. Avex owns the rights to Ultra in Japan and Korea.

@gogogo: Hah sorry, I work in the music industry thats why. I DO love a good party, some of my friends throw parties on boats or in the mountains which is a lot better than these events, and cheaper :)
