White Ceramics of China, Korea and Japan

The Idemitsu Museum of Arts in Marunouchi presents “Getting to Know Ceramics IX:  White Ceramics of the East – the Genuine Pure World,” from Aug 4 through Oct 21.

The exhibit showcases highly praised white porcelain pieces from the Song Dynasty (960–1279), in addition to other exemplary pieces from various periods from throughout China, Korea and Japan, all selected from the oriental ceramics collection of the Idemitsu Museum of Arts. Also exhibited from the museum’s collection are representative Zen paintings by Sengai. 

Where: The Idemitsu Museum of Arts, 9F Teigeki Building, 3-1-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
When:  Saturday Aug 4 through Sunday Oct 21.
    Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (until 7 p.m. on Fridays). Closed Mondays.
Admission: 1,000 yen for adults, 700 yen for university and high school students, free for junior high school students and younger with guardian.
