To make the beach sumo popular, they have to invite Kotooshu on the beach. It is so simple.

A lot of foreigners (especially us Aussies and Americans) have just the physique to have a real crack at this! It's a great idea and may just play a part in helping Sumo fight back and survive...the sport needs any help it can get!

as a sport to promote the healthy development of children

Did anyone else see this?? Being a big fat man and healthy development are used in the same sentence and it wasn't a comedy line!

Japanese beaches are often deserted except during the summer and are on the decline due to rising sea levels caused by global warming.

They forgot to mention erosion produced by excessive construction and concreting of beaches, polluted water and those awful tetrapods splattered across the shores (which INCREASE the waves rather than break them).

Except for a couple of all right places in Kyushu, Japan has the Fugliest beaches ever.
