Okay, let's review: Making money off the war machine and stealing from the people, being part of the Japanese salt mafia, a realtor, and finally a loan sharking executive....All in all a fine choice for a spiritual/transformational guru.
And I wonder why the world is going to hell in a handbasket with such sterling moral guidance and an overabundance of such hero models.

Actually this guy did a horrible thing to the youngsters of Japan. I have enough guys in my lab eating the crap 3 times a day, and some of them even ended up it the hospital with serious stomach problems. Why can't they get proper meals beats me; anyways, in my group I forbade instant noodles (at least in my presence)

I once looked into a bento and found love! -Only in Japan!!
But we are in recession, eating can please the mind and if you can fall in love for only 100¥ -that's a good deal !!

Ando was actually Taiwanese but he became Japanese at an early age.He was also imprisoned for two years for sponsoring university students (from memory) which was not allowed by the kempeitai at the time.He lost all his money and the salt business failed. The guy also claims he made his noodles because 'when there is enough to eat, people don't seek war'. I think he pretty much paid his dues.
