Basically spicy foods are among the best for your health because they contain capsaicinoids which are potent compounds that prevent chronic disease and what gives peppers their heat. This, coupled with their high concentrations of vitamins and antioxidants makes spicy peppers a unique superfood. But don't eat spicy food before bed because you can get indigestion.

I never ever had a spicy food issue in an evening meal and then sleeping soundly. Quite the opposite.
