Cup Noodle Museum to open in Yokohama on Sept 17
YOKOHAMA —
Nissin Foods Holdings and the Ando Foundation will open a Cup Noodle Museum on Sept 17 at Minato Mirai in Yokohama.
The museum will cover everything from how Momofuku Ando first came up with the idea of cup noodles to how to make your favorite flavor. The History Cube explains the product’s development from the first Chicken Noodle to all the various types available today.
There are 10 facilities in the museum, including the “Chicken Noodle Factory” and “My Cup Noodle section” where visitors can experience making noodles. For children, Cup Noodle Park has playground equipment that lets them “become noodles” during the production process.”
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission fee is 500 yen for adults. Free for anyone under 18.

After the Curry Museum and the Ramen Museum, now they are just focusing on a single brand of cup ramen? Good survival rations.

Dear Moderator: the name's Momofuku Ando, not Mokofuku.
There is an interesting and amusing (and not a little controversial) book called "The Ramen King and I" which talks a lot about this guy, the inventor of instant ramen - his life was eventful, and partly whitewashed by Nissin, apparently.
Moderator: Yes, that typo has been corrected.

This picture makes cup noodle look like appetizing! But they're not really like that, are they? I've never had one (that i remember) - not a ramen fan, sadly.

The other day I thought to have bought some Cup Noodle but when I got home and looked closer at it, it said Soup Noodle. Beware.

This is sure to give the Swanson Frozen TV Dinner Museum some stiff competition.

The Cheese Curry is the BEST!! Hands down!! I had my office in an uproar when I started bring them in. Next thing you know, the whole office is dumping hot water in yellow foam. The Cheese Curry flavor is a bit of a McRib as well. It's not at every convenience store and it's small. No big version of that.
History lesson: Nissin used to run The Raumen Museum in Shin Yokohama. Thank goodness they left too. It really sucked for a while. It was so commercial. I love the Raumen Museum, especially Sumire's shop. That's EPIC!!
Don't expect the Cup Raumen museum to last very long. It's something you might try once.

Aunt Jamima is rolling in her grave. Those noodle things smell and taste like plastic.
