Never had one, never will. I don't get the fuss over waiting in line for more than 10 mins for anything. let alone sugar and fake food.

I'm glad Krispy Kreme donuts are cheaper in the States. Love them...never seem to hit the 'free donut light' anymore. Love them, just don't eat them often - closest one is about a 1 hour drive from my house. Yummy!

Oh, yeah, now we are talking. Love KK, don't eat them that often, there is one near my home, but every now and then, I need to get a real donut. Getting one soon in Tenjin, about time!

You don't get the "fuss", because you never had one, so of course you can't understand it. Perhaps you should try it first, THEN you can really give an opinionated comment. Natto, looks really atrocious, but it tastes good! We should never prejudge anything.

Ahhh ... another reason to drop in my local Krispy Kreme shops. Alice Dawson wrote above that the "free" afternoon donut is not being offered anymore. But ... Krispy Kreme is giving away with each overall purchase a free coupon for a hot glazed original donut. I have three such coupons in my possession right now. So there are still freebies to be had ... Also, the lines are almost non-existent here in the Tokyo area. Sometimes I go right in and do my ordering ... no waiting. Let's see ... I'll start with the chocolate cake donut ...

There is no wait anymore at Krispy Kreme. The company figured their novelty would win over Japanese consumers forever. At this point everyone knows it's just another donut, nothing special.

"Never had one, never will. I don't get the fuss over waiting in line for more than 10 mins for anything. let alone sugar and fake food." Wow you are a laugh a minute, Tmarie! I personally love a krispy creme and a cup of coffee in the afternoon, esp with the kids with me and a couple of mommy-friends. heaven.

It's not just another donut, it's one of the more expensive donuts.

More sugar on the already heavily sugar-coated fried dough. Yum.

Krispy Kreme here just means Lotte - they bought the logos, store manuals and recipes. No relation to Krispy Kreme in the US. It is entirely non American and operated by Japanese.

Go to the KK in Akasaka on any given day, you could fire off a cannon in the place and not hit a flea.
