It's hard to believe that my ancestors had Oreo cookies way back when. And Oreos have been around all my life ... and undoubtedly yours, too.

Always keep some Oreos on hand for dipping in my coffee as I try to get my mind into gear for some heavy thinking ... or whatever else may come flowing out of it.

Three foods I associate with my mother are avacados, vanilla wafers, and oreo cookies. She had them around a lot when I was a kid. She usually dunked the oreos in milk.

My sister and I were the pull it apart, eat the filling, then eat the cookie types.

Favorite of mine throughout childhood until I discovered I was allergic to cheap chocolate and did not like sugar. Ah, what a sacrifice.
