Tokyo Midtown is celebrating the cherry blossom viewing ("hanami") season with its Midtown Blossom 2014 event, which runs through April 20.

Visitors can sample food delicacies and drinks at the MARTINI Blossom Lounge in collaboration with the Ritz-Carlton. Guests can enjoy “hanami" day and night in an urban stylish way surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms in the Midtown garden while sipping a martini.

At an open air cafe, the Ritz-Carlton is providing a special spring menu including sakura (cherry blossom)-wrapped fresh milk cheese and sardines in oil with fresh herbs. The food is paired with the luxurious Martini Royale, which was served at the royal wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate.

According to Tokyo Midtown, the "hanami" season will get under way next week, but the MARTINI Blossom Lounge and open air cafe are already open (except on rainy days).
