If you could meet U.S. President Barack Obama while he is in Japan this week, but only had time for one question, what would you ask him?

  • 0

    Hawkeye

What will be the legacy you leave the American people during and after your presidency?

  • 0

    yabits

Mr. President: I don't have a question, but I just want you to know that millions of Americans like myself are working and praying for your success.

Have you forgotten who you work for?

  • 0

    mareo2

The US is going to stay for keep China in check or we need to rearm and build nukes like India?

Do you want a quick round of golf?

  • 0

    bass4funk

Now that the midterms are over, do you finally get what the people want? BTW, May I sit in "the Beast" for awhile?

  • 0

    tclh

Lots of people accuse China of lacking morals by producing nasty but cheap products; what do you think about morals of people who buy these products?

  • 0

    TheMarion

Just how many people did yu bring with you to impress India?

  • 0

    Proffesor

    What's up Barry?

Moderator: Readers, please answer the question sensibly.

  • 0

    globalwatcher

How much does he carry in his wallet?

  • 0

    ReformedBasher

Your upbringing was multi-ethnic. Why not use that for politics instead? It's more accurate and something I'm proud of myself.

  • 0

    Suzu1

Why do you rely on a teleprompter for all of your public speaking, even in informal situations such as the time you addressed an elementary school class?

  • 0

    sf2k

Why didn't you put in jail all the bankers and swindlers of your country rather than bailing them out and/or hiring them into your White House? Hey, "Ooops" doesn't cover it

  • 0

    Disillusioned

"Good afternoon Mr. President. What is your stance on global warning?"

  • 0

    whiskeysour

I would like to ask him a question

How do you motivate yourself, everyday you are constantly bombarded ( idiots ) with racist and bigot people trying to destroy your plan for national health for the poor & rich people of America?

An American President trying to help all Americans can you believe it ?

How are unemployed people of America supposed to go to the hospital ? American taxpayers will fit the bill anyways.

I used to have private health insurance and it did not cover anything when I went to the emergency room. I had to use my credit cards to pay for my hospital stay and surgery. Why are people against national health care but support social security ? It boggles the mind. Look at the U.S. Military's health coverage program It's a great example of what national health can be- national health coverage.

The first Bush ruined your country but Clinton came along and saved you. Bush junior came along and ruined america again. Do you think you are doing as good of a job as Clinton had? If not, why not?

  • 0

    nisegaijin

Do you favor taking lessons from history?

  • 0

    whiskeysour

    Another question I would ask

Can I buy you a drink? Because your cleaning up GW's mess. It takes a real leader to change things around.

America is not a country where its people are subjects of the State so why does America tax it's citizens' income earned while residing abroad?

  • 0

    cleo

I'd ask him how Bo is doing.

  • 0

    Eyeblack

Will you help lead your country out of its violent and hateful culture?

  • 0

    blue_monday

I wouldn't ask him anything, I'd ask Mrs Obama since she is obviously the smart one. I'd ask her when she's going to run for President.

  • 0

    my2sense

I would hit him up with the gun control question (2nd Amendment) and it's place in the US future? If I got another crack at a few more, I would ask about the Wallstreet bailout and his 1.5 billion dollar (region tours)... yes the rumour is this trip is about this. Insane.

  • 0

    nandakandamanda

The generous question would be: "Are you enjoying your trip?"

If I wanted to give him a hard time, I would ask: "Are you aware that many people think your Nobel Prize was hastily awarded? What are you going to do to justify the world's hopes?"

Being a generous sort of person I suspect that I would ask the former.

How on earth can a laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize like yourself continue to fund and send more troops to the military occupation of Afghanistan? How is that a peaceful activity and how could you accept the prize knowing that you were going to oversee and continue to support such a violent and intrusive occupation?

    MisterCreosote

Hello, Mr Transparency, I didn't vote for you but as an American citizen I would like to know why we the people - -sorry if that offends - - can't see your SAT score, your Columbia and Harvard transcripts, and the client list at the law firm where you worked during that period when you were openly affiliated with ACORN.

  • 0

    AuntyAmerican

When are you giving the Nobel Peace Prize back?

  • 0

    willynilly

I'd ask him if we could meet at a better opportune time because I have more questions.

    Taka313

Mr. President, why do you continue to reach across the aisle when the republicans have no interest in helping the country? Their only interest is making you look bad. It's time to leave them behind.

Mr. President, are you aware that the majority of your countrymen do not approve of your policies?

  • 0

    Mark_McCracken

Do you remember meeting my uncle?

  • 0

    stormcrow

    Mr. President,

Knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently from the start of your presidency?

  • 0

    Sarge

Mr. President, do you believe that the Republicans have no interest in helping the country?

  • 0

    ukguyjp

    Mr. President:

Each meeting of the U.S. Congress starts with a prayer. The dollar bill is inscribed with the legend 'In God We Trust'.

Religious maniacs consistently oppose progressive measures like stem cell research, gay marriage and even deny the fact of evolution. At the same time they expect their superstitious attachment to Iron-Age beliefs to grant them special prerogatives in the public domain.

It's a virtual impossibility for an atheist - no matter how intelligent and qualified - to run for President. Indeed any unbeliever running for public office must hide their skepticism to have a realistic chance of becoming elected. Only one member of Congress - Representative Pete Stark (D) of California - has acknowledged that he is an atheist.

You yourself have been inaccurately called a muslim by opponents in an effort to cast aspersions on your character and American-ness.

Isn't it time religious idiocy was removed from the halls of government so that America could truly benefit from a sensible separation of church and state?

Ditto ukguyquips question. or IS Area 51 and the aliens reportedly stored there for real?

  • 0

    pointofview

Barack, Are you fully aware of the fact that you work for the American people as a whole and not the elitists?

  • 0

    12_year_sensei

Why not revoke Rupert Murdoch's citizenship for sedition? He's certainly guilty of it.

I know that someone in the White House surveys JT when Asia is a top topic, but do you ever read JT comments? If so, are any comments "humdingers" to you?

  • 0

    Zenny11

Do you think Arnie would make a good president, even though he is disgruntled with the republicans?

  • 0

    asahi_man

Why don't you Catch bin laden?

  • 0

    motogaijin

Mr. President, do you believe that the Republicans have no interest in helping the country?

You don't need the president for an answer to that. "The Republicans want to help Americans--the wealthiest 2% of them, anyway"

  • 0

    mikehuntez

Maybe I'd ask: Do you expect to serve another term as President? Why or why not?

  • 0

    smartacus

I'd ask him what is the most stressful thing about being president and if he ever misses not being able to go out for a drink or shopping or wherever.

  • 0

    dammit

"Why don't you have G W Bush arrested and sent to the international courts? Many people throughout the world believe he's a war criminal, and surely it's in the best interests of the public to give justice a chance to say yes or no?"

  • 0

    Moondog

Mr. President, the GOP has clearly demonstrated that as long as you are in charge they are going to obstruct everything, even the stuff they themselves originally came up with (e.g., your health care plan which was originally designed by Republican Senator and Presidential candidate Robert Dole). When are you going to start playing hardball?
