Is there such a thing as responsible journalism anymore? Doesn't the news media exist to profit as much as it can by disaster, death, and misery, the more spectacular, the better? Don't they try to catch every bloodstain, every tear, and even try to fan the flames of a tragic event in hopes of causing more trouble and bloodshed? Prostitutes have more integrity, and a higher sense of morality than many journalists or news organisations.

Yes. The terrorists barely know where Japan is.

It's idiot journalism.

Why should the fact that a conference is being held abroad, and that the Tokyo marathon is three days later (i.e. not 18 Feb) make the slightest difference to anything?

So they must already be here setting up their terror equipment. So, avoid Roppongi.

Could we have some information about what possible evidence they think they have.

So, avoid Roppongi.

Avoid it anyway, it's irresponsible urban planning.

Terrorists would be more likely to target Tokyo Disneyland.

They could strike any day any place, your local coffee shop or super market or a big complex like Disney land or Tokyo station, this headline is irresponsible but if it gets Japanese to wake up to the reality of the possibility of an attack at anytime then it might be a good thing, Be aware of who is around you and where you are, take nothing for granted.

People just having a cup of coffee in Sydney suddenly became aware of the threat radicals pose, some in france too recently, don't thin it cant happen

No, it's trash sensationalism. Even should something happen on that day, it's not likely these clowns had any insight into it. They just took what's on people's minds and conflated it with some upcoming events and printed it to move some copies and make some cash.

Yellow journalism.

Yes, this is absurdly irresponsible journalism. The editor should be called to task for blatant fear-mongering for profit. Jerks.

"Is this irresponsible journalism?"

Not an easy one to answer. "....irresponsible journalism?" First, I would like to have at least once a look at what the alternative would look like in Japan.

On the other hand of course, many would say responsible journalism is what SELLS. "Information" certainly is not a priority in the japanese media, so at least making jobs for those, who are at least calleed "jouranlists" would be a responsible thing to do, right?
