The best performance of his career was certainly "The Verdict" but somehow the scenes in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" linger on as iconic of Newman the Screen Legend.
Having a young son I will say as the voice of Doc Hudson in "Cars". Odd choice I know but it was just such a great nod to Newman's racing past. RIP, I can't believe he's gone, a truly remarkable talent.

So many but the one that will always stick out is the egg eating contest in Cool Hand Luke. R.I.P.

In addition to the movies mentioned above I have a few:
The scene in The Hustler after his character has his thumbs broken, and he's telling his co-star, played by Piper Laurie, what a loser he is.
Several scenes in Slapshot, especially dealing with the Hanson brothers.
His confrontation with Stacy Keach in "Judge Roy Bean."
With Tim Robbins in "Hudsucker Proxy."

His performance in "Nobody's Fool" stands up against anything he's ever done. Brilliant...
