National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is by far my favorite. Elf is pretty good, too.

Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Miracle on 34th Street, The Bishop's Wife and the Happy Days episode where Fonzie had nowhere to go for Christmas but was too proud to let anyone know it.

A Christmas Story - 1983 reminds me a little of my childhood. A Chrsitmas Carol - a classic story about doing the right things. Scrooged with Bill Murray in a similar vien. A MIracle on 34th Street the old black and white - a real Santa story. The quirky The NIghtmare Before Christmas. I like my movies with as little christian propoganda as possible. Just funny feel good magical movies.

It has to be Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life." Classic.

It's a Wonderful Life (everyone should watch it); Tokyo Godfathers (a great anime film by the late Satoshi Kon); Home Alone (Can't help it but include it on the list..); Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (not exactly your typical "Christmas" movie but worthwhile nonetheless); The Little Drummer Boy (a short 1968 animated film. A must-watch for young kids).

Magoo's Christmas, the Reginald Owen and also the Alistair Sims versions of A Christmas Carol and a really nice one is Hell's Heroes, a later version with John Wayne as Three Godfathers is better known, but the sacrifices made by the three outlaws in the former is much better.

I'll second many of the suggestions above, especially "The Ref" and "Elf." (And Magoo's Christmas Carol too -- which I could see after many years on one of the leading video streaming services.)

One not mentioned is a 1957 movie called All Mine To Give -- which Turner Classic Movies will play on Sunday, 12/23, at 10 AM Eastern Time. It stars Glynis Johns (who is so great in The Ref!)

For a guilty pleasure, I'll also include Bad Santa.
