I am Peter Payne of J-List. Using Twitter allows me to instantly ask my customers something, and get a bunch of useful replies, like nothing else on the net. I love it -- if you hate it, cool, whatever. I am @jlist by the way, if you want to follow my tweets.

    I don't want to be a twit.

twit : noun, an insignificant or bothersome person; an excited state; a derisive reproach; taunt; gibe; verb, to taunt, tease, ridicule, etc., with reference to anything embarrassing

Most of the people I know who use it write mindless stuff like their favorite tv show is about to start or how they just ate a good meal. Completely mindless stuff and one thing they all have in common is they are all incredibly dull with poor social skills. I guess it gives them an outlet to try and make their lives more sound more interesting than they actually are. If it makes them happy then to each their own.

Some cyber-squatting punk took the Altria name on Twitter.

Altria will be suing as a violation of trademark, and once we get the Twitter account seized, will use the channel to inform our fans about exciting new tobacco products released by Philip Morris and under subsidiaries owned by Altria Group.

    Stay tuned.

I'm not even going to bother creating another useless blog account which is just another myspace, trend, full of kids, spam, and useless ranting.

all you twitterers out there better watch out or you become more & more zombie-like, like many young people in Jpn, seriously, you definitely dont want to be turning Japanese in this way, its a bad dead end

Waste of time. Makes people forget the importance of real socilaising and all the experinces that go with it. And when you give services for free people tend to abuse it. Funny how there is a digital devide in many poor nations, but then they are able to sell themselves over the net using the net. Recently a woman had posted: I am from a poor country; I married a Japanese man and got divorced just recently. I am looking for some love and comfort. Please look at the photo of my son on his 3rd birthday.

    What does she want???? Pathetic.

Flash in the pan. Too many people with time on their hands. Could hardly say that Twitter contributes to the advancement of mankind.

  • notimpressed at 02:52 PM JST - 24th August

I don't think about it at all. Its really easy. An insignificant twitter in the background noise. Its like static on the radio when you overhere walkie-talkie bits and pieces from taxi cabs and truck drivers and the like.

It's a great way to set up a robbery or date rape.

It's good for musicians, apparently. Trent Reznor said so on a blog of his. It can feed people into your real website.

Still figuring out how that actually works but Twitter as a social network? I'll stick to Facebook thanks.

Isn't Twitter that Looney Tunes character?

  • XXXXX at 02:25 AM JST - 25th August

I think Twitter is looking to make money from other businesses :-b

It is a good way to let OUT what is causing a whirlpool INSIDE... As good or bad as Texting using a cell phone ...
