To me, everything up to the Thriller period was classic MJ. Maybe I'm just the nostalgic type. Off the Wall (Don't Stop... and Rock with You) and the Jackson 5 period were great too. I just lost interest shortly after Thriller.
i can't think about michael jackson without remembering the molestation case in the 90s. despite whatever musical genius he may have possessed, i'm afraid his legacy will be that of 'wacko jacko.'
Ah, yes! Wacko Jacko! A true entertainer although, his music was not the most entertaining aspect of his life. I remember when he was black and didn't look similar to Diana Ross. My personally favorite moment was when he married Lisa-Marie in the middle of his child molestation case. Within 6 months he was acquitted of the charges and divorced Lisa-Marie. Now, that's entertainment! RIP Jacko! I'm gonna miss your antics.
He'll have no legacy whatsoever. He might be remembered as the guy who paid hush money to prevent a certain conviction on child molestation charges, but other than that he was already a laughingstock.

As great as he was, it will all eventually fade as soon as everyone comes to know that he commited suicide

I really don't care what his musical legacy will be as I was never a fan.
BTW Proseffor: "he commited suicide". Wasn't he murdered by the doctor?

This was just released onto the AAP network:
There was no evidence of foul play in the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson, Los Angeles coroners said after conducting an autopsy.

I still can't believe he's dead.

He will be remembered as a popular star of the 80s with little long-lasting influence.

No business, like MJ music show business.
Money poured on him, and the money he poured on his music show.
This is a record in money dollars, that is a difficult to break legacy, for anyone in future to break.
Kick him, hate him or make him a wacko.
MJ fans are MJ fans. So will a another pop act's fans, be the act's fans only.
There is difference in stars.
Hate among all rival fans will definitely be there and also there will be hate for MJ.
MJ didn't care about it too much, he just went on making more music and more fans.
His style is strictly for his fans in style, which is similar to his fans and their taste.
1970s to 2000s , was surely a big Megablast MJ era .
