They are on several of the threads. As a matter of fact, I'm looking at one right now. They're probably Google ads, but it still pisses me off. They're big and blue and state that we should get the facts from the Scientology Video Channel. I'm sitting at m computer right here in Kanazawa, Ishikawa.

Bring back Popvox - it gives the non-Japanese reader an insight into the Japanese's views on current events.

"Have Your Say" is so-so but if you asked questions relevant to Japan or Japanese current events then it would be a lot better.

Yes, I first noticed them yesterday.

It is a large blue advertisment that says, "Get the facts Scientology Video Channel".

Moderators and Editors,

Seriously, is this one of your sponsors or one of the owners of this site? If so, I think you should reconsider the type of ads you have on here. This is one that should not be supported.

Editors and Moderators,

I continue to notice you erasing messages here. Yet, as of yet, there is no answer to the question about the ads. Our questions are quite simple and only require simply responding. Personally, I feel a greater lack of respect toward readers of this site on the part of the moderators and editors. This is a shame. This site was a lot of fun. We deserve more than we are getting, especially when you consider there are certainly other internet options for information and entertainment.

As for me, I will get away from this site for a while. Hopefully, when I visit again in the future, editorial policies that seriously take readers into consideration, consistent moderators and moderation policies (there are none that I can see and I have better things to do than have my words erased at the whim of people who don't even seem to read the articles, threads and comments they are moderating).

Fact you should be ashamed JT.......Get the facts, Seperation of Church and State is why we post here. I have to agree with Keech and Kiniku you only care about dollars?

JT Editor: The Scientology ad is just when one of many Google ads appearing at random on the site. They are not something we can currently control, anymore, for example, than when an ad for retailers of knives and axes shows up in a story about a stabbing murder. Please don't worry about them. I assure you we haven't been taken over by any religious organization.

New Japan today design is good, has preview and is faster than Old JT design.

Way to go JT, we still need to attract ,more global net users to make more content quality and use more info contributions archives, in discussions.

Many new feature make the software better.There is still more ways to make it better, to attract more clicks and net users.

There is 900 million and rising number of netusers on internet, we still need to do more to get new people, in all nations to contribute more inputs and use archives in JT. The more the clicks, the higher the revenue gain for JT.

I like the redesign. Not only do we now have bold and italic options to add life to our posts, but the website actually works! The main reason I quit JT before was the frustration over the site being sooooo slow, when it worked at all.

WhiteHawk - Sure, we've got bold and italic options, but they've still got the titles of the articles in bold over the categories underneath in small print. It was way easier to find the section you want before, no?

Sarge, that's true, but I've adapted to that. Also, I like being able to preview my post and correct any format or spelling errors before posting.

The quote thing does not work sometimes. Italic thing gets you bold writing,Bold thing gets you italic words. **

We are not always successful like white hawk says above and these sometime stars, start appearing instead of italic or bold words.

JT needs to work on these things to get things to perfection.**

4 months into the so called "new design" of Japantoday. It's now time to update viewpoints and once again rehash old criticisms.

After the new start-up there were quite a few technical snafus that needed to be ironed out, and they have been ! Overall the site is now easy to navigate with many of the old favorites returned to their rightful places. The title page across the top is nice but would be more useful if scrolling over technology was applied to include all the topics now found at the bottom of the page in blue. In short, why seperate the two ? Seems redundent. This aside though, I have become quite fond of the new look and design.
