the kind that makes you exercise more... seriously, try depleting more energy physically instead of mentally and you'll be sleeping much better. alcohol doesn't hurt either...
Well, youngster, for you it means saying something loving like, dinner sure was good tonight or thanks for helping with my homework, and then giving mom and dad a kiss goodnight. You will sleep well and so will mom and dad. Now that I think about it, us old coots oughta try it too.
In this modern time of people doing yoga and going to the gym, I'm amused that JT's still asking about what food/drink to be recommended. The answer is clear. Exercise and eat healthy food.
“Making love is the answer to a good night sleep every time.”
It doesn’t have to be love, it can be simple rampant sex too.
Failing that you could always try 4 Temazepan with a very large glass of whisky. Granted sleep may not then be your problem, so can we have an extra question about what you find helps you wake up in the morning?
Flying from Vancouver to Kansai, with a transfer through Seoul. Whether you slept on the plane is irrelevant, you will be asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow at home.
Drink... hmm, maybe herbal tea, camomille or rosehip. But a surefire way to improve your sleep is to not watch TV or use a computer at least two hours before going to bed.

Melatonin. Works wonders for me. That's if customs in Japan don't take it from you first, which also happens to me.

Haha, I wish that I had someone to make love to every night. If only life were that easy.
I recommend warm milk. That's always done the trick for me. Or if you are conscious about calories, herbal tea is a good alternative.

A late night tandoori followed by grandma's sherry trifle should settle most folks.
