There were plans for one, done by the same studio that did the 3-D animated Astro Boy/Tetsuwan Atom, but last I heard, the studio has shut down and the project is in limbo.

Seems as if each media borrows "inspiration" (the term used in its loosest definition) from the other. Once a TV show gets old, it then gets relaunched into a two hour movie. Likewise for a lame movie after it's third sequel.
