Moderator, thank you for your response. I understand that the editors pick stories that they expect will be of interest to their readership. My question / comments are specifically about the headlines.
Yes, I noticed a trend on Tuesday and posted on a couple of threads - the trend being that if no nation is menitoned in the headline, the default country is the USA, rather than Japan, which strikes me as odd on a site called JapanToday. Now if the majority of the readers are in the USA, that would make sense. If not, it is perhaps something for the editors to take into consideration when chosing meaningful headlines.
