    Japanese doctors give out antibiotics like it's candy!

    In Japan, most illnesses last much longer than normal due to antiquated medicine and misdiagnoses. Most doctors here seem to study medicine from the back of a cereal packet.

    I had flu like symptoms, and the doc prescribed medicine but left the choice of whether to take antibiotics up to me which I was taken back by. I wasn't sure whether I should take antibiotics or not, and chose not to and just ride out the cold on my own. Getting close to 3 weeks and still have a sore throat....
