So what does this mean exactly? That I like drinking coffee because of something in my genetic make up? If that's the case, then I've had a complete genetic overhaul since last year, because I used to hate coffee. I've only started drinking and enjoying it since January. That sounds more like it's an acquired taste, than anything genetic.

My DNA must have changed since my early-twenties. I drank no coffee up to that time but now I drink about a cup a day in cool to cold weather.

Genes aren't wholly static as many scientific research show they can change in a course of time (albiet not drastically).
