The core is simply the entire trunk of the body and is the vital foundation of all the body's movement, whether you are walking, carrying a heavy bag or playing a sport. It is important to maintain a strong body core at any age because the posture and back health is linked to core strength. The core muscles is what keeps the body stable and balanced and well-aligned during different daily activities. Core stabilization and core strengthening can help to improve back health and overall functional fitness which will allow you to maintain a fitness level to complete the tasks that you need to do every day.

I'm not the fittest guy in the world, but my lower back pain disappeared after working on the core. I do planks, rows and crunches. Can't go wrong.
