Bush there are hundreds of flu strains and most mutate very fast.

The Flu shot is designed to fight the most virulent strains at that time.

Till not too long ago the Flu was considered a deadly sickness, most flu meds actually don't fight the flu only the symptoms. Doctors can't keep up with the mutated strains, hence no cure for it.

Hence the old saying: Treated flu recover after 2 weeks, untreated flu recover after 14 days.

Were the Spanish fly to reoccur now it would still kill millions.

I am just getting over the flu. The children had it very mildly, I have been more unwell. We are all alive, stayed in the house so we didnt spread it, wore masks to the hospital to get some treatment for the symptoms and did not take public transportation there. Now we have natural immunity which is far more wide ranging and effective than the immunity given by the shot.
