    Japanese are working very hard towards making androids - independent thinking robots that mimic human beings. The type of robots that are the main characters of the "I-Robot" novel.

    This Europeans robot is more of a ultra-specialised tools, with very limited (or no) independent movement. It replicates the movements of a doctor. There are many similar medical projects in Japan as well.
