And at the other end of the scale, a 30 minutes/5km run a week is significantly better than none at all.

When the amount of exercise exceeds the body's ability to recover instead of getting faster and stronger, we can actually end up becoming slower and weaker and also sick and injured. So we need to learn the warning signs of when the body has enough or even too much.

I had a friend that I went to gym with, he ate like a horse, downed protein shakes but could not gain mass. He ate and exercised wrong, he was mostly burning muscle and didn't rest his body enough.
