Grenades, gaijin, pom pom girls and pizzas -- all on the JPOD!

This week, Kamasami Kong speaks with Japan Today editor Chris Betros about the news events happening in Japan—from North Korea’s planned rocket launch, the 100,000 yen being offered for grenades in Kyushu, and the controversy over the word “gaijin.” Hear what Japan Today’s readers have to say on the matter as our JPOD guests, actor Bob Werley, musician Mona Guitarra and voice actor Douglas Kirkpatrick look at comments from the discussion board.

Peter Lackner gives a report on his trip to the Sendai area and pace of the recovery effort.

In sports, our panel discuss the recently concluded Tokyo Sevens rugby event and how the tournament could have been made better—pom pom girls needed!

Lots of stars were in Tokyo this week, among them singer Lenny Kravitz, as well as the cast and crew of films such as “John Carter” and Battleship.”

And we wrap it all up with Domino Pizza, which has become a breeze to order thanks to the English home page.
