Power, politics, emperor's visit to UK, the eclipse, McDonald's and special guest Ruth Shiraishi on the JPOD

TOKYO —

Join me on the JPOD this week as we discuss the latest news and gossip about what’s happening in Japan. We are joined by Japan Today editor Chris Betros and NPR radio host and journalist John Matthews as we discuss politics, power shortages, the emperor’s visit to Britain, the solar eclipse, a strange McDonald’s job offer, sushidols, human flesh powder from China and other news topics.

Special guest, author Ruth Shiraishi, discusses her new book on 33 of the best practices in business and life she has witnessed among Japanese people over the years.

Kaleb James brings us up to date on what concerts not to miss.

All this and lots more on the JPOD!
