Here’s a bar with a difference. Alchemist, which opened in Akihabara on Sept 29, has an anime DJ.

You can enjoy many kinds of anime songs in the bar. The DJs change regularly every day and play different kinds of songs such as “old anime,” “trendy anime,” “game songs” and “vocaloid.”

The bar’s female staff love anime and games, and are happy to chat with customers about their favorite anime. Even shy “otaku” types will feel welcome here. And if you don’t know much about anime, the girls will tell you all you need to know and give you a crash course in Akihabara culture, as well.

The bar holds special DJ events and lectures for “otaku” from 3 to 6 times daily.

The bar is open every day. Admission is 500 yen. Drinks cost from 500 yen up.
