yes , but not in revolutionary new cassis or salty dog flavours! like the asahi and suntory canned cocktails too come to think of it. give those girls a payrise!
because japanese beer sucks. seriously, even the american stuff is better. what kirin REALLY needs to do is learn how to brew a beer that doesn't taste like it was thoroughly wiped through a 35-year old man's asscrack before being brewed.
The same can be said for US beer vs European beer.
Give it time and wait for the new and improved Budweiser since the company is now owned by europeans.
Hope the taste will be closer to Budvar the TRUE Budweiser.
Sales are down as alcohol is a luxury and the people feel the pinch of increased prices.
People are feeling the crunch. Everything is going up, so less room for booze.
Japan has the whole concept of beer wrong.
They don't know how to drink it. Two inches of head is just stupid or an excellent job by the brewers to stiff you out of 10 - 20 % of your beer.
And then they don't know when to change the keg in the pub - that tiny cute keg designed for a nation of weaklings. I don't know how many times I've got flat beer and just thought, geeze this country has no idea. A few times I've asked them to replace it, but mostly I just concede the country is full of morons.
I'am a true lover of beer, and I completley agree that the big beer companies such as Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporro are far superior than brewers such as Budweisher, Miller, and coors, but on the flip side of that coin American Micro-brewers are much more creative, and daring than japanese microbrewers that mostly model themselves after German brewers.
The best Japanese micro brewery i have been to is Suginoya in Fukuoka. Really good, but the other problem is the price. They are a little pretencious with pricing for what your getting.
On another note if you are in the Hiroshima there is a microbrewery festival on 28 sep. It is hosted by the only real beer bar in Hiroshima
Golden Garden. I think tickets are like Y2,800. Contact Takahashi for ticket details 0822482657..Cheers, and if your at Popeyes' this weekend lets talk ale over some ale..... VIVA real beer
beer is ok, but the low alcohol content under 7 percent, is an American invention to offer alcohol that is watered down from the 14 percent you can brew beer too before yeast killoff and rise of alcohol-loving bacteria that turn it into vinegar.
real ale from europe is not watered down like the American-influenced beer.
The low carb beers here are popular with the men too. And since when do Japanese women not drink beer? All my female uni mates and the wives I know drink beer. I think they should try styling beers like the Monteiths ones in NZ - Radler is slightly lime flavoured and Summer Ale has a honey spice tinge. Mmmm mmm Had a nice beer with lemon grass in it too the other day, can't remember the brand.
Kirin began marketing ‘‘two dogs cocktails’’ in 350 cc cans on June 18—one called ‘‘cassis navel’’ in a pink can and another called ‘‘salty bulldog’’ in a green can—for around 148 yen.
Two-Dogs (together with its alcopop partner-in-crime "Hooch") has been on sale in Japanese bars and offies since at least 1997.
The only marketing that has gone on here is rebranding it a "cocktail" in a pathetic attempt to give it an air of sophistication.
Can't wait for Sakurako and Natsu's next cocktail idea - Thunderbird Red-Label? MD20-20? Meths?

You forgot to add Night Train Express, Wild Irish Rose, and Cisco to that fine list of antifreeze that may be used either for your car or personal consumption.
****Sapporo is the best I have ever drunk and I have drunk a buncha different kinds. Rheingold, an American beer, was the sorriest. I don't
think they make it anymore.
