A small-scale Japanese study last year, among others, suggested there was a connection between chomping and cognitive function, and the belief in a link between chewing and health is widely held in Japan.

Chewing your food is good for your stomach, digestion.......far too many here boff their food hardly chewing at all, I am pretty sure that's a big part of why Japanese tend to get cancer etc more in their digestive tract

The app should also be able to calculate the calories you are burning while chewing and swallowing your food. The goal would be to eat the right amount of food at the right speed to have zero total calories consumed.
