Wife, don't overuse your husband's twitter!
Genital references aside, I propose a control study. If Twitter/Facebook are replaced with X, is there a correlation?
"Study finds that the more often a respondent reported driving a car, the more likely they were to experience car-related conflict with a partner."
"Study finds that the more often a respondent reported eating popcorn, the more likely they were to experience popcorn-related conflict with a partner."
"Study finds that the more often a respondent reported listening to dubstep, the more likely they were to experience dubstep-related conflict with a partner."
