Oh, yes! I have my Hello Kitty fluffy slippers, hair clips, make-up bag, watch, keitai cover and half a dozen little Kitty dolls hanging off my phone. Yes, I am a teenage Japanese boy!

In 2004, a Japanese blogger started a vivid discussion on whether the popular cartoon character Hello Kitty was a mere rip-off of Musti. Hello Kitty, created in 1974, has a close resemblance to Musti created in 1945 and in 1968, Musti was developed into an animated series.

Was a fan of Kitty until I got terrified when Kitty appeared in my nightmare. Sanrio should know that there is a limit to exploiting people. Jland has great many works in culture, arts and education. Bulldozing all that is not nice. Musti and Kitty are cousins. No problem.

Garfield doesn't have a mouth, either... but both Hello Kitty and Garfield are pretty talkative (and Garfield eats a lot even though there's no mouth).. hmm.

Kitty folklore says that Hello Kitty purposely does not have a mouth so that its fans can interpret the cat in their way, rather than being influenced by any speech. It is in their literature somewhere, I think.

Thank You Potus, that makes sense. also at a fair once I saw Hello Kittys with a mouth and knew that they were knock offs.

Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse together in one great cartoon adventure with Kitty chasing the Mouse all over the world. While on this great chase, they would encounter other great cartoon characters.

That Hello Kitty twat really gets my goat. I see grown ups wearing "Kitty" clothes. Get a life you idiots!!!

She`s cute enough for little ones, but I have never been able to understand or relate to this Japanese adult obsession with this kind of thing.

she is cute and sometimes adults need to feel good, so let them wear what they what. those who need a life, are those who care about what other people do with there own lives. live and let live.
