    with an aim to train experts to maintain past as well as contemporary documents and hand them down through the generations.

    Meaning: We need to ensure future generations live to the same economic, academic and authoritarian crap that we do!

    Archivists are expected, for example, to work with state and local government officials to decide which administrative documents should be maintained and how they should be organized for the convenience of public access.

    Meaning: We'll work together to only allow the public to see what we want them to see and believe is true.

    Congratulations, youdontknow, you are a conspiracy theorist in the making. If there weren't archivists ... there wouldn't be any public access. Also, maintaining documents is critical in keeping historical records of our pasts. It does not mean we want our ancestors to do just as we do, it means we want them to understand why we did things in this manner and not misinterpret their past.
