"Hiroko" you should try to work as a normal full time employee for a month or two, and i am sure you will find out a better solution for your country on the matter.

i met many skillful freelance young japanese, ask them why not apply for a full time position! they don't want to get a full time job because it is suck. it suck because it is low-pay, and too long working hour.

thedeath- Agree with you, full time job gives low pay, long working hours and make you virtually become slave .The pay sucks and long hours sucks. Full time job, you have practically sold your soul to the company. I have worked long hours and low pay, full time, these employers just abuse everyone, with scare tactics.

They scare you and force you to work long hours.More employees should take these employers to court and expose their worthless deeds.

I don't get why people allow themselves to be slaves to the job. If the jobless rate is really 4.0% then the power is in the employee. You can find people at that rate, but not quality.

Japanese were traditionally farmers. Each farmer looks at the farmer next door to make sure they are doing exactly the same as them. This is done to ensure the farmer next door does not become a burden onto their neighbor when their crops fail and then become desolute.

So Japanese bully each other at work. Surprise surprise.

The Japanese freeters like kogiarus (child gals) are just following a long tradition. Just a repeating a well established pattern. Nothing interesting, or new, going on here.

Same goes for the gov't. They make the condition that causes people to become freeters and then on their white horse come to the rescue. Only the horse breaks it's leg on the way. The rescue plan thus doesn't produce the level of results that were originally planned. And the young people yawn and ignore them...
