The area around Izumo is very pretty..I never saw any of these taxis when I was there but I saw plenty in Naha.

Great plan. Turn the poor into transportation. How original. Didn't this used to be the case in Japan in ancient times?
This is not a long term solution. People cannot do this kind of work when they grow old. And they cannot make a living that will allow them to escape poverty.
Japan needs real solutions to economic black holes that people are being dropped into, not cute touristy notions of pedal taxis.

Quaint idea but how many days out of the year in Japan have weather that's suitable for open-air vehicles? Not enough. Riding one of these could be pleasant but most of the time it would be too cold or too hot...

Shouldn't this be "pedalling"?
They're not selling these bikes illicitly, are they?
Moderator: You're right. Thanks for the correction.

Always a pleasure, never a chore.

I believe transport options like this will become more popular.
Of course this upsets Al Gore's carbon credits program (NWO) and all the globalists who want to depend on oil.

They have similar pedi-cabs in Vancouver and The Gold Coast in Oz and a few more places around the world. I dunno about Vancouver, but the cops in Oz have been trying to get them banned for years. I think they would e a winner in Japan because the roads are already so congested having these contraptions blocking the roads will not make much difference. I'd like to see someone ring a few pedi-cabs into Asakusa in Tokyo and give the rickshaw boys a it of competition.

No picture with this BIG news. Should show Egg shaped pedi-cabs ?
