3 BIG Australian references there... Ugg boots, Mel Gibson and Wassup (which for the record existed waaaay before 1999... it was a product of "Wog Boy"... a movie about a Greek guy in Australia who said "wassuuuuuup?".)

For an America-centric site, it's quite interesting that so many Aussie things get a mention...

Japanese trends take far less than a decade to go out of style. That totally un-funny "GETS!" thing was in and out in about 1 year. The term "K.Y." is no longer used, that was around for what, 2 years?
