Scientist makes 'Avatar' robot

if the robot is caught doing " illegal " acts, it's human avatar is quilty too ?

Ummm... only if you're a Japanese 'salary-man'. I doubt very much I would wonder if I became a robot while testing out this thing. And it's not really like Avatar at all -- at least not like the avatars in Avatar, but perhaps like the mechs they use in the military in the movie.

Still cool, though.

All one has to do is spend 5 minutes watching the Tokyo subway during rush hour to see real-life avatar robots in action. This guy's idea has already been perfected by the corporations and bureaucracy of the country.
