SDF choppers act as air ambulances for remote areas

As well they should. They fly around all day every day (at least in my area) and make so much noise it's hard to concentrate on anything. At least put our tax dollars to work doing something important, rather than transporting around high-ranking Japanese SDF officers.

I guess I am kind of dense, but I wonder how all this was done before the SDF were given choppers or doesn't Japan realize just how many men (or women) are necessary to "crew" a chopper. Seems to me that choppers are a new plaything for the SDF. Oh, I realize just how eagerly the SDF looks forward to justifyig this new form of locomotion
