If this survey were conducted among foreigners in Japan, I'm guessing that "kawaii!" would top the list!

"Whatever" certainly gets my goat, so do combination words like "chillaxing".
In the words of Charlie Brooker, "Anyone using these is a 'funt' .

Getting very tired of "no problem" or "not a problem" instead of "you're welcome", especially in restaurants or other service places. When I say "thank you", for some reason it grinds me to hear young wait staff reply, "no problem". I know it's no problem, it's your job after all, and I didn't expect asking you to bring me water with a lemon slice was going to be an insanely difficult task, so what's wrong with just responding "you're welcome" to my "thank you"?

I say "whatever" occasionally, but not "what...ever". However, my most disliked word is "vociferously " especially when uttered by Piers Morgan, who should return to his homeland...if they'll have him.
