Actually, I know a lot of hinansha that gained weight. It is because the diet in the shelters is terrible. They eat candy all day and their main foods are instant ramen and onigiri (high in salt). The salt and sugar are a recipe for metabo and not over 1/3 of hinansha have high blood pressure and are getting fat.

Nice. I hope the market becomes an even stronger tradition than ever before, and I definitely think it's an important 'place' for exchanging information, talking, getting to know one another, etc. Especially now, the need for all of those things is high.
